Secret Gallery Presents Malinche, a Contemporary Art Exhibition Reclaiming the Legacy of La Malinche

Secret Gallery is pleased to present Malinche, an exhibition opening February 6, 2026, featuring the work of 30+ Chicana, Latina, Indigenous and southwestern artists who carry forward the legacy of Malinche, also known as Malinzin or Doña Marina. Rather than revisiting her as a historical subject alone, the exhibition positions Malinche as an inherited presence: one whose strategies of survival, translation, and adaptation continue to shape the experience of women navigating language, power, and identity today.
